Campbell County Recreation Center is now open!!

Phase 1 was a Feasibility/impact study and master planning. Working closely with the District and with residents, OLC completed an impact study to determine whether to move the existing aquatic facility and remodel the adjacent center. Upon completion of this in-depth analysis, it was determined that Campbell County citizens would be best served by a new, larger recreation center. Phase 2 is for a new 189,000 sq. ft. 2-level recreation center/multi-purpose facility with fieldhouse, competitive running track, gymnasiums, locker rooms, community center, indoor 6-lane 25-yard lap pool, jumping tower, underwater benches, co-ed whirlpool, an  indoor leisure pool with zero-depth entry and many play features. The Campbell County recreation facility is currently under construction. The school district and the recreation district joined hands to create a program that serves a wide variety of needs under one roof.  This unique facility combines a full-service recreation center with a multi-use competitive sports and training facility. Shared use of the amenities will be a hallmark of this creative mixed approach.
