With the number of pilgrims to Mecca increasing every year, it has been important to find ways to accommodate visitors. By improving the structure of facilities, the key design challenge was to protect the integrity of the spiritual feel, visibility, capacity and circulation of this project. OLC, Umm Al-Qura University College of Engineering, and the Islamic Architecture team collaborated on the design. The result achieved all key issues as well as increasing the capacity of Holy Harm by over 75%. OLC was awarded for this role in the project by the University of Umm Al-Qura.
