Winters in the high country of Colorado are long, and the outdoor field sports season is short. One of the many reasons the need for an outdoor Fieldhouse is present is to allow a wide spectrum of sports teams the opportunity to practice and improve their skill level year-round and compete when the conditions outside are not favorable. The OLC-led consulting team completed a Three Phase Study for the Towns of Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, and Summit County, Colorado that included 1. Needs Assessment. 2. Facility Programming, Cost and Site Analysis. 3. Concept Design and Operations Analysis. Two Programming and Planning Options arose during the stakeholder input and survey process that yielded two different planning solutions and facility sizes. Both planning options offer the opportunity for flexibility in their ability to add on alternate amenities such as fitness and muti-purpose areas as well as future turf and gymnasium areas.
