About This Project

OLC transformed an existing facility into the new Animal Welfare Resource Center for Manatee County, creating a community-focused resource dedicated to supporting pet health and responsible pet ownership. The renovated facility includes administrative offices, a veterinary clinic, cat and dog meet-and-greet spaces, indoor and outdoor training areas, and support spaces for animal welfare programming. Serving as the home of the County’s CARE (Community Animal Resource & Enhancement) Program, the center expands access to affordable and no-cost veterinary services, including spay/neuter procedures, vaccinations, and basic wellness care, helping keep pets healthy, housed, and out of local shelters.
