15 Dec Well and Good Newsletter 2022- Quarter 4
LETTER FROM THE CEO
Dear Friends,
On behalf of everyone here at OLC, we hope that you and your circle of family and friends continue to be safe, healthy and well. We’re doing great here at OLC. We were able to exhibit and participate in the 2022 Colorado Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) Conference – with the most attendees of all time! We also attended the 2022 Florida Recreation and Parks Association (FRPA) Conference, with Senior Principal Maged Elsheikh presenting on Pickleball this year. Pickleball is a booming sport, and if you haven’t tried it I recommend you give it a go. Fellow Senior Principal Brian Beckler and I play in leagues at both the APEX Park and Recreation District and the Pickleball Food Pub in Arvada, and so far the Dinking Buddies are holding their own!
OLC also welcomed in two new staff members this month, our new Senior Interior Designer, Natalie Mediate and Job Captain, Shane Daniels have joined our team in the Denver office.
Natalie has extensive experience in the Healthcare, Hospitality, Office, and Industrial markets. She’ll be assisting Brenda Amsberry on our DoubleTree by Hilton projects and will also be working on the George J. Meyers Pool Complex for the City of Arvada. She was recently licensed with NCIDQ.
Shane brings 8 years of architectural design and drafting experience to OLC. He will be assisting Brian and I on the Meyers Pool project and others.
Finally, we all just returned from a trip to Orlando for the Athletic Business Magazine and Medical Fitness Association Conference showcasing our Lake Nona Performance Club. It was an honor to have our project featured during the facility tours at this important event.
Joining us in Orlando were Mahmoud Elmetwally, Director of our Cairo, Egypt office and Kosho Sasaki, Director of our affiliated office in Tokyo, Japan. Kosho and his wife Ritsiko enjoyed a visit with our company founder Stuart Ohlson at his home in Denver. It was amazing to see and spend time with them, rekindling the friendships that are so vital to our global culture.
In the wake of the Thanksgiving holiday, we remain so very grateful to all of our friends and colleagues. We thank you for your trust, and wish you the very best of holiday seasons as we wrap up 2022 and welcome in the New Year!
Be Well,
